Kathryn teamed up with Clarkson Potter to create this sweet little Backcountry Log.

And also info on trail blazes, what plants to avoid, what’s the difference between a grizzly bear and black bear, plus more. And a step by step guide to how to hang a “bear bag” in the backcountry.

The cover is a soft bound gray fabric with linocut of trees foil printed in matte forest green. The interior pages are tree-free. The inside cover is illustrated with topo maps of Yellowstone National Park and Yosemite National Park. And rulers are inside to measure tracks and other things you find, inches and centimeters.
